I’m very excited to be part of the Marathon reading of BERNADETTE MAYER’S MEMORY on Sunday July 14, starting at 11:00 AM at Familiar Trees. This event has been organized by Lisa Pearson, publisher of Siglio Press which has brought out the stunning edition of MEMORY, including Bernadette’s breathtaking photos. I’ll be reading shortly after the marathon kicks off.

On November 12 the Poetry Project at St. Mark’s in New York City for the third time served as the producer for a dramatization of my work, presenting, in the church’s Sanctuary, I AM ANGRY AT A FORCE I CANNOT SEE: BASED ON THE POETRY OF MICHAEL GOTTLIEB, a staged adaptation of ‘The Voices’, my long poem about Covid and NYC, and ‘The Dust,’ my long poem about 9/11. (both of which appear in the Selected Poems). This production was directed by Chana Porter, with sound and music by Rohan Chander and video by ray ferreira, with support from the Axe-Houghton Foundation.
My Collected Memoirs is now out from Chax, in a uniform edition matching the Collected Essays, which Chax published in March 2023, and Selected Poems, which Chax published in 2021.

I’ll be reading at this year’s Boston Poetry Marathon, which runs August 5 - 6, at the Community Church of Boston in Copley Square. It’s always great!
I’ll also be participating in the Flowchart Foundation’s “The Ingenious Mode: A Gathering” event in Hudson, NY on Day 2, July 23.… There are a ton of fabulous people presenting, over two days and one night. It is going to be fabulous. Fabulous!

A SHOW OF MY COLLAGES AND PHOTOS: Familiar Trees in Great Barrington MA will be presenting an exhibition of my collages and photos. Very exciting!
